Chess Against Violence is a unique program that combines the game of chess with a focus on training students to think (that is, to identify, analyze and evaluate alternatives) before acting. The program teaches students to weigh the long-term risk against short-term temporary rewards.  This change in thinking processes will result in reducing and avoiding violent reactions and provocations.

Chess Against Violence is comprehensive, multiple-week chess instruction event culminating in a fun, competitive chess tournament. The event begins September 9th. The program is designed for young people aged 10 – 16. Please consider donating by clicking this Donate Botton.
